Four steps, no paperwork battle. If a room is free, you can often move in just a few days after your request.

Four steps to moving in

Usually only a few days pass between your first message and the key handover.

  1. Pick a room

    Choose an available room close to your place of work on the homepage.

    Directly on the website

    You see all available rooms with photos, price and move-in date. Choose your place of work and send us a request.

    By phone or email

    Call us on 0800 24 77 24 or write to info@zimmer-in-solothurn.ch. Tell us your place of work, your budget and when you need the room.

    Tip: Need a parking space? Mention it in your request – parking is only available on request.

  2. Get in touch

    We reply within 24 hours (Mon–Fri) – in German or English.

    If you are already in the region, we show you the room in person.

    By video call

    Not in Switzerland yet or away on a job? We show you the room live by video.

  3. Sign the contract

    We keep the paperwork as small as possible.

    What you need

    A photo or scan of your valid ID (Swiss ID, passport or foreign residence permit). No debt collection extract, no proof of salary.

    Rental contract

    You receive the contract digitally. As soon as it is signed and returned, the room is reserved for you. You can also use the contract to register with the municipality.

    Payment

    You transfer the first month’s rent and the deposit (one month’s rent). Cash payment is also possible. Then you get your key.

  4. Get your key

    Contract signed, everything paid? Then you can move in.

    Key handover

    Depending on the property, we hand over the key in person or you collect it from a key safe – so you can move in in the evening or at the weekend too.

    Your room

    The room is freshly cleaned, with fresh bed linen and labelled storage space in the kitchen and bathroom.

    When the job is done

    Stay as long as it suits you – at least 1 month. Giving notice is as easy as moving in.

    Notice period

    14 or 30 days depending on your contract, to the middle or end of a month. The exact terms are in your contract.

    Giving notice

    Send an email to info@zimmer-in-solothurn.ch or a registered letter. We confirm your notice in writing.

    Note: No notice can be given between 1 December and 15 January. In that case the end of the tenancy moves to 15 January.
